Calendula officinalis (Marigold) is one of the most versatile herbs in western herbal medicine. The bright orange petals are an excellent remedy for inflamed skin, and their antiseptic and healing properties help to prevent the spread of infection and speed up the rate of repair. Useful for all skin conditions, cuts, scrapes, minor inflamed skin rashes, bites & stings, healing wounds, bruises, acne and boils.

Hypericum perforatum (St John's Wort) is a valuable wild pasture plant with a history that goes back to the Crusades for its healing properties. The bright yellow flowers and aerial parts of this plant are a valuable remedy for topical application to the skin. It is useful for cold sores, bites, shingles & chickenpox sores, aching joints and easing inflammation.

Achillia millefolium (Yarrow) The green healer salve is made from this valuable wild pasture herb. This herb has a long tradition as a wound healer for topical application. It is useful for dry skin conditions, skin ulcers, sunburn, sunspots, sooth itching and irritated skin and to cleanse wounds and cuts.


Rejuvenating Foot Soak $10.00

The feet contain the largest pores in the body and are therefore a useful way to achieve an effective herbal treatment. The feet are often a neglected part of the body so treat your feet to a wonderful herbal soak with a herbal blend to sooth tired sore feet. The foot soak is useful for poor circulation, aching joints and just to relax. Add a heaped tablespoon to a foot basin and enjoy a 20 minute foot soak.

The healing foot soak should always be stored with the lid on to preserve freshness

The fragrance and therapeutic benefits of Hops have a long traditional use as a sedative to induce sleep. The Hops are encased in a silky satin pillow and fitted with a zipped inner to enable a refill of fresh Hops.

Elderberry Syrup $12.00

Syrups can be used to make some medicines more palatable, or you can add a tablespoon to hot or cold water for a refreshing drink. A dessert spoon of the syrup can also be added to salad vinaigrettes or to yoghurt and fruit smoothies. Delicious!!

The Elderberry Syrup should be refrigerated after opening.

Sage Oxymel $12.00

An oxymel is a specialized sweet and sour herbal mixture that combines the sweetness of honey and the sourness of vinegar. The oxymel is used as a carrier for herbal infusions, decoctions, and concentrates. One dessert spoon should be taken 4-5 times a day as a gargle or swallowed for throat and nasal conditions.

A luscious mix of Shea butter from the Karite nut is combined with high quality vegetable and essential oils. Apply generously to the body for a smooth soft and nourishing feel to the skin.

Skin Repair Oil $20.00

Rosehip infused oil is light, rich and non-greasy. Rosehip oil has the ability to encourage regeneration and skin repair and is useful in the treatment of scar tissue. This oil is excellent for all types of skin but especially good for dry damaged skin or older skins. Best applied at night.

The face cream is a light blend of Jojoba oil, purified water, grapefruit seed extract and essential oils. Try massaging this gorgeous treat gently into the face as a daily routine.

Lavender Liniment Cream $16.00

Lavender has a well document history with many applications not only for its aroma but also as an important medicine. When used topically it stimulates the circulation and relieves muscle tension. Apply and massage this liniment into stiff and aching joints and enjoy the relief and the calming effect of Lavender’s aroma.

Lip Balm $4.00

The Lip Gloss contains both Bees Wax and Cocoa Butter. Cocoa butter smells like chocolate and is pressed from roasted cocoa beans. It makes a wonderful emollient and lubricant, softening and protecting dry skin.

The healing properties of Aloe Vera, Plantain and Lavender all work together to cool, heal and prevent infection to burnt skin. Cool burn with cold water and then immediately apply gel to a burn from flame, hot water or sun burn to sooth and heal the skin.

Plant Infused oils - Hypericum (St John’s Wort) for nerve pain, neuralgia and sciatica. Chamomile for relaxation and inflammatory bowel problems. Hyssop as an anti-spasmodic in the muscles and respiratory system. Individual blend can be made on request.

Culinary Infused Oils 250mls $12.00

Herbal Oils are infused into high quality cold pressed oil and used in this preparation for pure culinary delight. Use a tablespoon of Herbal Oil to baste and flavour chicken, fish or vegetable dishes. Also adds a great aroma and taste to salads.

The infused oil should be kept in a cool cupboard away from heat and refrigerated after opening.

Infused Herbal Vinegars 250mls $12.00

The aromatic flavours of a variety of garden herbs are infused into a base of organic apple cider vinegar. These are a delightful addition to salads, to drizzle over steamed vegetables, to provide flavour to fish and chicken dishes or to drink daily as a tonic for nutritional and therapeutic benefits (use a tablespoon in 250mls of hot or cold water).

The infused vinegars should be kept in a cool cupboard with the lid on.

Culinary Herb Blends 30gms $4.00; 60gms $8.00

Rosemary, Thyme and Sage are known for their anti-oxidant activity and are an ideal addition to your favourite soup, casserole, roast vegetables, fish and meat dishes.
Culinary Cooking Combo is a traditional blend of spring and summer herbs that can be added to soups, casseroles or pan cooked dishes. Freshly processed and provided in an air tight container to keep fresh and retain the quality of the herbs.

All the culinary herbs can be purchased as singles or as combinations.

Herbal Teas 50gms $7.50 & 100gms $15.00

Fresh Herbal Teas are a delight to drink and a great inclusion in our daily life to calm, invigorate or improve particular body systems or organ function. Phytofarm herbal teas are made from fresh carefully dried plants and blended into refreshing beverages.

Aromatic Digestive Blend: Spearmint, Calendula, Fennel Seeds & Peppermint

Relaxing Blend: St John's Wort; Oats, Lavender, Lemon Balm

Spring Blend: Elderberry; Licorice; Hissop

Anti-oxidant Tea: Sage, Rosemary & Thyme in a base of Lemon Verbena

Making Herbal Teas: Blends made with leaves and flowers should be infused by pouring approximately 500mls of hot water over 2 heaped teaspoons of herbs into a coffee plunger or tea pot only used for herbal teas. Leave to steep for 10 minutes and drink at room temperature. Blends made with berries and roots require two heaped teaspoons added to approximately 500mls of water and brought to the boil, then simmered for 5 minutes for full therapeutic effect. Strain and drink at room temperature.
The infused blends can be used 2-3 times before discarding the mixture and the berry mix can be used 4-5 times before discarding.

The herbs used in these Phytofarm Herbal Blends are safe for daily use, with the exception of Licorice in the Berry Blend which should not be used by people with high blood pressure.
